So, I've decided to break tradition on my music blog streak by posting some random thoughts about what I've been up to lately! Ha ha ha. This is a blog, after all. It can be random if I want it to be.
I saw the Divergent movie about a week ago. The book was definitely a lot better than the movie, though. I mean, the main actor and actress were handsome and gorgeous, respectively, and I'm not really sure if a run-up sequel would do any justice to the series. The weird thing was, the book said Christina, of all people, was taller than Tris, but in the movie, Christina was a lot shorter than the main female character. It was a bit of an eyesore, but oh well. What can be done about it. The film cast is all set in stone, and nothing can be done to change it.
I also saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The movie was completely ACTION-PACKED throughout every scene. LOVED IT, even though I don't approve of violence. But if a good guy's out there to seek revenge on the bad guy, I'm totally in for it! I think I might have a crush on the Winter Soldier. He reminded me of Caius from the PS3 video game
FINAL FANTASY XIII-2. Super stoked for the upcoming Captain America sequel!!! Chris Evans (aka Captain America) looked like a knight in shining armor, and I just love his awesome metal star shield.
Muppets Most Wanted was another cool movie I saw. I thought there was an overload on the singing, but overall, the plot was intriguing, and there were bits of comedy here that made the movie experience worthwhile. I never knew Tina Fey could sing! Wow oh wow, that lady sure has a opera -ish- voice. I liked how the characters went all over Europe to film the movie. I recognize some of the locations they toured.
When In Rome was a really cute and romantic chick flick. Josh Duhammel and Kristin Bell make such a cute movie couple, and I think they had really good chemistry in the film. I saw the movie on the 4th of July (fireworks day!) so I can't recollect about what happened in the plot.
I'm also waiting for the movie releases of Despicable Me 3 and Kung Fu
Panda 3. The sequel releases have been confirmed. The little beanie yellow Minion guys are sooo cute,
and I just love their squeaky voices. And who doesn't love chubby pandas
who can fight kung fu?
I read the entire Divergent series by Veronica Roth and finished around mid-July. I just couldn't believe what happened at the end. I was STUNNED. No, SHOCKED even. Tris seemed like a strong-minded and powerful Divergent who was incapable of being destroyed, but her fate doesn't end so well. Poor Shailene Woodley. I'll see what happens when the final movie comes out in 2017.
